A locally produced brochure offering health care guidance to Missourians recently earned top communications honors from the 2006 MarCom Creative Awards. The top distinction, a Platinum award, was given to the brochure produced by Jefferson City-based graphic design studio wetsuCREATIVE and Primaris, a Columbia, MO health care firm.
There were over 5,000 entries in the international award program. Other winners in the program included Fortune 50 companies and national names such as FedEx Freight and Public Radio International.

Mark Millard and Jason Jett of wetsuCREATIVE Graphic Design Studio attended the 2006 HOW Design Conference held in Las Vegas, Nevada. The conference is the largest gathering of graphic design artists in the world hosted by HOW magazine. Graphic design and marketing workshops were conducted over a four day period. Speakers included advertising and creative directors, CEOs, and principals of design firms that worked for Ford, Disney, Crayola, Ikea, Major League Baseball, ESPN, Ben & Jerry’s and other fortune 500 companies.

Jason Jett and Mark Millard of wetsuCREATIVE Graphic Design Studio have been selected as a recipient of the Jefferson City’s “40 under 40” awarded by the Jefferson City Business Times. The “40 under 40” award recognizes the best and brightest business professionals in the Jefferson City area under the age of 40 that have also given back to their community.

wetsu Golf Outing A Triumphant Event 06.07.06
The wetsuCREATIVE staff enjoyed a beautiful evening of golf while exercising a ambitious, aggressive and at times combative competition. The final victor and champion was team Murphy/Schneider/Jett who claimed the grand prize money. Second-runner up was team Millard/Sullentrup.

wetsuCREATIVE's First Annual Spring Picnic A Success 04.27.06
The weather couldn’t have been better for wetsuCREATIVE’s First Annual Spring Picnic. Family, friends, and clients enjoyed barbecued hot dogs, hamburgers, baked beans and coleslaw while listening to St. Louis’ favorite musician Pierce Crask. Tours were welcomed and new staff members were introduced while pool tournaments were engaged in the Truman Room. The grand prize drawing of golfing for two at Eagle Knoll, two sleeves of wetsu golfballs, and two wetsu t-shirts was won by Betsy Dudenhoeffer.

Columbia, MO – wetsuCREATIVE received a Silver Addy at the 2006 American Advertising Federation Awards held Friday, February 17th. The Silver was awarded for wetsuCREATIVE's originality and quality design of the “Pop into E-Statement” campaign for Central Bancompany. Sullentrup Joins wetsuCREATIVE Staff As Graphic Designer 01.16.06
Tim Sullentrup has joined the wetsuCREATIVE graphic design studios team as a graphic designer. Tim graduated from Central Missouri State University with a major in commercial art and an emphasis in graphic design. He assisted University Relations by designing their yearly Admission and Recruitment Series. An internship with wetsuCREATIVE in the Summer of 06 has prepared Tim to immediately assist clients with their creative needs.

Two projects wetsu recently completed for Primaris won awards at "The Communicator Awards Print Medical Competition 2005"
1. QualityTODAY won an Award of Distinction in the Medical Newsletter category.
2. The CLAIM post card won an honorable mention in the Marketing/Promotion/Post Card category.

Around 13 percent won an "Award of Excellence," 19 percent won an Award of Distinction, and 10 percent an Honorable Mention. An Award of Excellence means that the project exceeded industry standards in communicating a message or idea.

wetsuCREATIVE Receives Two Addy Awards 02.19.05
wetsuCREATIVE received two Silver Addy awards at the Mid-Missouri Advertising Federation gala Saturday, February 19th. The awards were for projects developed for Primaris and the University of Missouri Athletics.
In the category for collateral material wetsuCREATIVE received an award for a mammography poster developed for Primaris’ Just Ask! campaign. The poster concept was developed to prompt women over sixty to ask their doctor about scheduling a mammogram. Pictured in the poster were Linda McAnany, Wyn Riley, and Dorris Morris of Jefferson City with the headline of “Women over 60 should still do it.”
Also in the collateral material category, wetsuCREATIVE received an award for their design of the University of Missouri men’s basketball 2004-2005 media guide. This is the second consecutive year that they have received an Addy for designing the guide.

Jones Awarded By International Council of Airshows Convention 12.08.04
Columbia, Mo. – The Memorial Day Weekend Salute to Veterans Corporation was awarded second place at the International Council of Airshows Convention in Las Vegas, recently for its 2004 Television Public Service Announcement. It was chosen out of over 200 entries from Large Airshows in the annual marketing competition.
The Ad, which featured both black and white and color footage of our military throughout history, was written and produced by the Salute to Veterans Media Chairman, Jeff Jones. The 30-second spot invited the public to come and help Honor and Remember those who have served and those currently serving in our Armed Forces, Guard, Reserves and our Allies.
The convention was attended by 1,700 delegates from the Airshow industry, including those from the military, commercial events, as well as volunteers from the unique FREE Salute to Veterans Celebration.

Mizzou Basketball Media Guide Reaches Final Four in Publication Contest 2003-04 guide honored by CoSIDA.
The accolades continue to roll in for the University of Missouri Basketball Yearbook for the 2003-2004 season. Congratulations to Assistant Director of Media Relations Sam Fleury, Basketball Director of Marketing Anne Wilson, Director of Basketball Operations Lee Rashman and Head Coach Quin Snyder on another successful recruiting yearbook.
Columbia, Mo. - The 2003-04 Missouri Basketball Yearbook, which was written and edited by University of Missouri Assistant Director of Media Relations Sam Fleury and designed by wetsuCREATIVE Graphic Design Studio of Ashland, Missouri, finished fourth in the national publications contest which was conducted by CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America). The book also was named the best publication in the seventh of the eight districts CoSida divides the country into.
The award is voted on by a select panel of media and is presented at the annual CoSIDA Convention, which will be held in Calgary on June 26-30. There were 85 entries in Division 1A. The final rankings for Division 1A were:

MissouriPRO’s Quality Today won an Award of Excellence for the Most Improved Newsletter in The Nation by a Government Agency. The award is given by the National Association of Government Communicators. wetsuCREATIVE assists MissouriPRO with all of the design and layout for the publication on a quarterly basis. wetsuCREATIVE was also responsible for the redesign of the newsletter.

wetsuCREATIVE Donates To The Dream Factory 03.14.04
Jefferson City, MO - The 22nd Annual Race Car Spectacular held at the Capital Mall on March 13th & 14th was a great success. Thirty-nine race cars, including Randy Martin's Sprint Car, were on display. Thousands of race fans were in attendance to meet their favorite drivers and view the race cars before the Mid-Missouri race season began.
Hundreds of lucky fans were pleasantly surprised to see the 2004 Craftsman Truck Series Daytona 250 winner Carl Edwards. Carl appeared in person during the Race Car Spectacular's trophy presentations and answered questions from the crowd. The Spectacular was a success in raising awareness and money for the Dream Factory. Josh Baysinger, a Dream Factory recipient, displayed his Daytona 250 trophy which featured his name alongside Carl Edwards. Josh received the monstrous trophy from Carl Edwards earlier this year when Carl won the Daytona 250.
Mark Millard and Jason Jett of wetsuCREATIVE, Eric Slater of Slater-Millard Funeral Home, and Reid Millard of Houser-Millard Funeral Home presented a check made out to the Dream Factory for $1536 to Mike Whitworth of The Dream Factory. The money was raised from $1 donations given as fans voted on their favorite racecars.

Columbia, MO - wetsuCREATIVE received their first Silver Addy at the 2003 American Advertising Awards held Friday, February 20th at the Tiger Columns. Jason Jett, a Jefferson City High School Graduate and MU Alum, was proud to win with his company's first entry to the Addy Awards. "I'm proud of our staff at wetsuCREATIVE. The American Advertising Awards represent the upper echelon of print marketing and design. This award is a reflection of the hard work and talent of our designers.", says Jett. Vice-President Mark Millard Receives Award 11.05.03
Mark Millard received a Certificate of Appreciation from Colonel John L. Caierer, Jr., Director, Civil/Military Relations and Brigadier General Dennis Shull, The Adjutant General of the State of Missouri for his participation in the Military Family Support Committee. The event was held September 21, 2003 at Apple Creek Farm and had a showing of over 1,200 military family members. Mark worked closely with Susan McNay on the Marketing Committee since February 2003.

Mark Millard of wetsuCREATIVE is volunteering his time by heading the marketing committee for The Military Family Support Committee. The MFSC is sponsoring a Military Family Appreciation Day Picnic and Concert at Apple Creek Farm in Centertown, MO. The date set for the picnic and concert is Sunday. September 21st and the time is from 1PM to 5PM. The Military Family Support Committee would like to invite any military family members to RSVP by September 19 for free food and entertainment.
